“A Social Couch to 5k Programme with Loads of Guidance”
I am currently doing the couch to 5k, I love the social side of it, having others to motivate me and also getting all the Information every week about any problems I have, and what the week plan is.
“You can Transform into a Runner!”
Very friendly. You don’t need to be a runner to join , as with the support of the coach and your running friends, you can be transformed into a runner. Want to walk instead? No problem join the walking group. Age isn’t a barrier either. I joined when I was well into my 60’s. Conor designs a personal training plan for you. He’s always contactable for advice .
“Graduated from Couch to 5k Group to Non-stop Runner in Week 2!”
I joined the clubs C25K programme as someone who had never been running. In a matter of weeks was running in the 8kph non-stop group with some great new friends! The club is excellent for self improvement & socialising
“Off Road 10k Success”
I joined CRC to find a structure to my running. I wanted to improve my 10k time, the first race, after starting training, I knocked 3 minutes off the old time and the second race was 2 minutes quicker again. All comes down to coaching with Conor.

I joined CRC in April 2017, and it was the best decision...Was not a runner at all previously, but with amazing community and support I ran Gloucester 10k by November, never thought that would be possible before!
“The People Are Lovely”
The people I have met are really lovely. Everyone is so friendly and it doesn’t matter how fast or slow you are, there is something for all abilities. The group is well run and a wonderful way to incorporate exercise and being sociable.

The Summer Training Squad Facebook group has been a really useful support. It’s encouraging seeing the different runs that members have posted and everyone supporting each other to congratulate after a completed run and also boost each other when the runs haven’t gone quite so well.
Conor follows up either online, by phone or in person at club runs when people have found a run difficult and he adapts individual programs when necessary.
Even though people have different individual programs due to their chosen targeted events there is still a cohesive, supportive group feel. Definitely a way of keeping people motivated to improve through the support of a friendly running community.

I found the training videos, Facebook group and training plan great for keeping up motivation, plus socialising on training nights, to remind myself of individual & shared goals!
I’m glad I joined the Summer squad and have enjoyed the experience.
Being in a squad means getting a training programme to work with; but for me the most important part is giving and receiving encouragement, support and advice.

Following a move to Cheltenham 18 months ago, I wanted to make new friendships, get fitter and explore the local area.
The walking club ticks all these boxes, everyone is so friendly, I’m feeling fitter and I’ve found some new and interesting places to walk and talk!
